Welcome to the final edition of our 2025 technology & business development newsletter. December has been a great opportunity to reflect on the progress made throughout the year while continuing to build momentum. From important developments on-site to valuable time spent reviewing and planning for the future, it’s been a positive and fitting way to close out 2025.

Installation of New testing equipment
Vikela recently completed the installation of a new state-of-the-art stab rig, delivered in collaboration with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the Connected Project. The installation and commissioning were completed efficiently, supported by a high standard of technical knowledge and expertise throughout.
This upgrade enhances our in-house testing capabilities, enabling more accurate and repeatable testing to support future projects. We would like to thank everyone involved for their professionalism and collaborative approach in delivering this successful addition to our facilities.
Team Christmas
As the year draws to a close, it’s been a wonderful opportunity to pause and celebrate everything we’ve achieved together at Vikela. This year has been full of hard work, growth, and teamwork, and it’s something we can all be incredibly proud of. None of it would be possible without the dedication, energy, and commitment shown by our fantastic team throughout the year.
We ended the year on a real high with a brilliant Christmas evening out, filled with great food and plenty of laughs. It was the perfect way to unwind, reflect on the year behind us, and enjoy some time together away from the day-to-day. Here’s to an exciting year ahead and many more moments to celebrate together.
Action Coach NI Growth Club
December also gave us the opportunity to attend the Action Coach NI Final Growth Club of the Year, which was a brilliant way to reflect on how far we’ve come over the past year. Taking time to look back at our progress, achievements, and lessons learned really highlighted the impact of the hard work and focus across the business.
Just as importantly, the session allowed us to start shaping the finer details of our plans for 2026. It was an energising and forward-looking day, reinforcing our direction and giving us clarity on where we’re heading next. We’re excited about what’s ahead and looking forward to building on this momentum in the years to come.
Northern Ireland Site Visit
It was great to welcome Jessica Sue Rasmussen from Two Magnolias Venture Capital back to Northern Ireland. These visits are always valuable, giving us the chance to hear more about upcoming developments across Northern Ireland and the continued momentum building within the local startup ecosystem.
Alongside this, it was fantastic to connect with fellow startup companies, share experiences, and exchange ideas on the challenges and opportunities ahead. We are extremely lucky to have Two Magnolias as part of the Vikela journey, and their continued support, insight, and belief in what we’re building means a great deal as we look ahead to the next stage of growth.
