Relocation of Vikela to new site
After weeks of hard work and planning, we are thrilled to announce that our office and manufacturing relocation is officially complete! We are excited to be starting this next chapter of Vikela in Bangor Co. Down.
A huge shoutout to Grace and the Delivery Services Belfast UK & IRELAND team for making the process seamless and stress-free.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this exciting transition a success. Here’s to new adventures in our new space. 🎊
ADS Northern Ireland Annual BBQ
One of the highlights of July for us was attending the ADS Group Ltd Northern Ireland Annual BBQ. 🍔
The event allowed us to engage with local business leaders working across all sectors that support defence industry in Northern Ireland. It is fantastic to hear the growth in the defence sector in Northern Ireland over the past 10 years. Turnover more than doubling from £1bn to £2.2bn in 2023. 🚀
We are proud to be a part of a rapidly growing industry and contributing to growing Northern Irish business and talent. Thanks to Leslie Orr and ADS Group Ltd for inviting us to such a brilliant event.
Other News in August
ADS roundtable event
We attended the ADS roundtable event that was focusing on how the UK can build industrial resilience, capacity and build relationships with industry (both primes and SMEs) to promote, adopt and integrate new technologies into defence. This was a fantastic event to be a part of as discussions and ideas will be submitted by ADS to the Governments Strategic Defence review calling for change and innovation to be a priority.
Tech Nation Prize
It was great to continue our engagement with the Founders Makers team Katie Briefel and Charlie Holman in London. It was fantastic to get some interesting insights and hear their ideas for helping to create our brand image and language used to target both customers and users.
Factory Renovations
Our factory works are in full swing with new electrics and security upgrades to ensure a safe and efficient work environment for our team. The new floors and furniture are looking amazing, thanks to WRIGHTS SOFALAND LTD and our other suppliers for your fantastic products. We are looking forward to enjoying the fresh new space. Stay tuned for the big reveal!
