January Updates
January was off to a good start for us as Ulster Business Magazine included our founder Peter Gilleece in their Ones to Watch feature in January’s Leaders in Business issue. You can read the full profile at the link below where you can learn more about the company’s background and future ambitions. With big plans in 2024, it was very exciting for us to see Vikela recognised in this showcase of some of Northern Ireland’s leaders of the future.
Later in January the 2024 Scale X Accelerator programme launched, and we are thrilled to be in this year’s cohort. With big plans to scale up our manufacturing and operations this year, we’ll be making the most of this opportunity to learn from the experts at Simple Scaling to develop our growth mindset and fast-track our plans. 🚀
It’s also a valuable opportunity to learn from the other companies from varied industries taking part in this year’s accelerator programme. We would like to thank Simple Scaling for hosting us on the programme, we are excited to be on this journey!

👉 Our testing and certification process has been going well, and we’ll be sure to bring you further news of that in the near future.
🌍We’ve received good feedback on our international patent applications. With ambitions to export our products globally this is exciting news.

Upcoming Events
This quarter we are attending a number of defence and security exhibitions and exhibiting our next generation products. These exhibitions are a great opportunity for you to find out more about our unique designs and manufacturing – so don’t hesitate to book in a meeting or come to our stands for a chat if you’re also attending.
Noble TR/EX, US
From 21st-22nd February we’ll be exhibiting at NOBLE TR/EX 24 in the US, showcasing our lightweight stab protection. This Noble event exhibits the latest products and technology for defence and security users with plenty of opportunity for potential buyers to engage with manufacturer representatives and get their questions answered. Please get in touch if you want to book a meeting with us while we’re there or make any introductions.
Security and Policing, Farnborough
From 12th-14th March we will be exhibiting at the Home Office Security and Policing event in Farnborough. This is the official UK Government global security event, connecting security users with UK suppliers and the latest technologies.
